Tsama Nafshi (My Soul Thirsts) – Duet

CHAG SUKKOT SAMEACH 5774 / 2013 PITKA TOVA!

ZMAN SIMCHATEINU / THE SEASON OF OUR JOY!

The Season to draw near is at hand! The Festival of Sukkot, during the Time of the Temple, was known for the sacrifices offered on behalf of the 70 nations and the Water Drawing celebrations where water was poured over the Altar and that brought JOY to those who observed and experienced it! May we all at this time “Draw Water with JOY from the wellsprings of Yeshuah/Salvation” [Isaiah 12:3].

This is the Appointed time when YHVH draws near to us as we abide and dwell in Him! Let us seek Him with all our hearts for there is a Well Spring, a River of Living Water, a Fountain of Life that is opening up to those who seek Him wholeheartedly! There is Revelation to be received at this time from the very Throne; of things yet to come and of things to take place shortly! This is also a Season of Reconciliation! There are Covenants to be honored as we completely submit to the Will of God and to one another in Love!

This season of dwelling in sukkot/tents/booths reminds us of our human frailty, our imperfection, our weaknesses that should utterly and humbly bring us into a deeper understanding of our need of total dependence upon YHVH, our Master & King! While we are still in our temporary dwellings here on earth, in our bodies, our souls are longing and thirsting daily for the Living God and He alone can quench our thirst!

On the other hand, He created Adam; Male and Female He created him [Genesis 1:27] YHVH has both masculine and feminine attributes; hence was Adam created, in God’s own image and likeness!

Just as in the Beginning God separated many of the elements of creation from a whole in order to make a Hevdel /a difference between them ~ for example, light and darkness, water and firmament, land and seas, so too was Adam separated from within. For from his initial created state, male and female, he was put into a deep sleep and was separated until Chava was formed from his side and they became One again in Covenant!

Therefore it is written that it is NOT good for Man to be alone because from the very beginning he was created whole, male and female! God allowed separation in order to bring Restoration, to make two ECHAD / Oneness as a mirror of YHVH in order to bring forth and fill the earth with the Revelation of YHVH ECHAD.

This video is part two of a series of videos depicting our search for YHVH which should ultimately lead us to the embracing and honoring of His image in one another! True especially is the case of that of a Covenant union between man and woman therefore we have the story of Isaac & Rebekkah being creatively reenacted in this music video for Isaac had found comfort in a willing Rebekkah!

Twenty years later Rivkah gave birth to twins who battled for their future even from the womb! Two nations, two souls with freewills were in her womb but only one sought out and surrendered to the perfect Will of YHVH! And so it is with us there are two kingdoms, two mindsets battling within our souls, for our wills and destinies!

Let us be diligent to lay hold of God’s future for our lives for which there is indeed an ongoing Battle! Be courageous, strong and of willing hearts; learn to wait on YHVH and He then will send all the Help we need to accomplish His purposes here on earth, just as Avraham Avinu sent Eliezer to find Rebekkah for Isaac!

Hoshana Rabbah is known as the last of the Days of Judgment which began on Rosh Hashana. The Zohar says that while the judgment for the new year is sealed on Yom Kippur, it is not “delivered” until the end of Sukkot (i.e., Hoshana Rabbah, the last day of Sukkot), during which time one can still alter their verdict and decree for the new year. Consequently, the blessing which Jews give each other on Hoshana Rabbah, (pitka tova), which in Yiddish is “A guten kvitel”, or “A good note”, is a wish that the verdict will be positive when all is said and done.

May all that concerns us be made perfect in HaShem’s timing! He has put Eternity in our hearts and He promises that He will make all things beautiful! All things will work together for the good of those who are called according to His purposes!

MAY WE ALL BE FILLED WITH THE RUACH IN THIS SEASON AND MAY WE ALWAYS END ON A GOOD NOTE/ PITKA TOVA , A MUSICAL NOTE, A SONG, A PSALM B’EZRAT HASHEM/ WITH GOD’S HELP!

ENJOY THIS HOLY, CREATIVE & INSPIRED WORK BIRTHED FROM VISION & BE RICHLY BLESSED, REFRESHED AND RESTORED ON ALL LEVELS! AND REMEMBER TO ONLY BELIEVE IN HIS BEST FOR YOU AND WAIT PATIENTLY ON HASHEM ALWAYS!

SHALOM V’CHAG SAMEACH

“On the last day, that great day of the Chag / Festival, Yeshua stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Yours truly with His great and glorified Love,

Micha’el Eliyahu Ben David,
His Beloved!
