“Comfort My People!”

“Comfort, comfort My people!” says your God. “Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.”

The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought low; the crooked places shall be made straight and the rough places smooth; the Glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” (Yeshayahu 40:1-5)

“For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.” (Yeshayahu 51:3)

“Sing O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted!” (Yeshayahu 49:13)

O Zion, You who bring good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Yerushalaim, You who bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Y’hudah, “Behold your God!”

Behold, the LORD God shall come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.”

“He will feed His flock like a Shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young.” (Yeshayahu 40:9-11)

“Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, with their voices they shall sing together; for they shall see eye to eye when the LORD brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together, you waste places of Yerushalaim! For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. The LORD has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the Salvation / Yeshuah of God!” (Yeshayahu 52:8-10)

“And Moshe said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the Salvation of the LORD / Al Tira’u Hityatsvu U R’u Et-Yeshuat Hashem Asher Ya’aseh Lachem HaYom), which He will accomplish for you today. (Sh’mot / Exodus 14:13)
